Horseride presentation evening

£1.4M AND COUNTING'

Over thirty years of the Sponsored Obstacle Horseride in the great park Windsor and this is the tally.  Mark Fraser the co - ordinator of the event for the last few years - put it as simple as 'We raise the funds, and then give them away to deserving causes - every element of the labour force is a volunteer, at no cost to the event - AND we have a lot of enjoyment in the planning, promotion, and the final presentation'.

In fact the final, final presentation takes place on friday the 14th September at the Guildhall, Windsor.  Many riders, winners, their supporters,  and those receiving funds will be at the function which starts at 7.30 pm.  Trophies are awarded to both young and older riders, for a whole host of categories, and approximately £17,000 will be given to good causes.

The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead - Councillor Leo Walters will present the trophies, one of which 'The Shanly Cup' will be for the Rider and or team displaying the greatest endeavour in the event.  Michael Shanly is a sponsor of the 2007 event.

Host for the evening will be Alaster Purchase one of the youngest Presidents of the Lions Club of Windsor.
