Windsor Lions in the News - Sept 2007
THE BIGGEST SPLASH FOR CASH
The now, well established, swim marathon
organised by the lions club of Windsor is about to
take place on Sunday the 7th October at the Leisure Centre
in Windsor.
With great help from the team at the Leisure
Centre the LC of W will start the day with the first swimmers in the pool at
0800 hrs.
Teams of swimmers (anything from one swimmer
to eight) swim two lengths of the pool as in a relay race. 55 minutes of
swimming for their own chosen project.. For some it will be equipment for
their school, for others it will be for good deeds, and charitable fund
raising.
A percentage of the funds raised will be
dedicated to good causes sponsored by the LC of W.
So far 34 teams have entered, and there is
still space for a few more.
As Mike Sells put it 'There is no easier way
to raise cash for your special project - we do the organising - you have a
lot of fun'.
